Chipmunk Funk – Cute or Catastrophe?

I need your help! What to do with chipmunks?

Chipmunks are small, striped rodents of the family Sciuridae. All species of chipmunks are found in North America, except one .... the Siberian chipmunk, which is found in Asia.

So I have a dilemma....Chipmunks in my backyard!

• Cute

• Destructive

Which wins out? Is there a way to rid your backyard of these furry friends without taking "extreme" measures ... or is that the only way really get the job down?

If you've had chipmunks, what did you do to solve the problem?

We have lots of veggies about to go into our backyard including:

• Tomatoes
• Cucumbers
• Peppers
• Lettuce
• Green Beans
• Zucchini
• Herbs

How do we protect these foods from the "Chipmunk Punks" ?

The chipmunks also dug a hole. How is best to fill and keep them from returning to it ?

Eastern chipmunks mate in early spring and again in early summer, producing litters of four or five young twice each year.

I'll be honest I really don't wanna have to use "drastic" measures to solve the problem, but at some point I may have to. We do not wanna see our garden destroyed this spring and summer .... and it seems the chipmunks are getting more comfy in our backyard. Please share your recommendations and experiences to not only help me, but all our listeners who have "Chipmunk Punks"
