Hometown Happenings with 92.7 WOBM

Blues Artist Kati Beddow Brower will perform at several area branches of the Ocean County Library.

·         2 p.m. Saturday Feb. 1 in Manahawkin, 609-597-3381

·         7 p.m. Monday Feb. 3 in Plumsted,  609-758-7888

·         11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 15 in Island Heights, 732-270-6266

·         7 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 19 in Little Egg Harbor, 609-294-1197.

The programs are free and open to the public but registration is required. To register telephone the branch or visit the website at www.theoceancountylibrary.org and click on the “Event and News” icon for the link to the library’s Calendar of Events.

Ocean County Library will host “Doughboys: The American Soldier of the Great War” at two branches in January. Presenter Jeffrey Brown, who will appear in costume, will focus on the American soldiers of World War One. Utilizing artifacts of the era and a PowerPoint presentation, he will show the personalities of the men who served in armed forces during 1917-1918.

 The program will be held:

·         Tues. Jan. 28 in Brick at 7 p.m.

·         Wed. Jan. 29 in Little Egg Harbor at 7 p.m.

The program is free and open to the public but registration is required. Telephone the branch or go to the library website www.theoceancountylibrary.org to register.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County will Host their Annual “Bowl For Kids Sake” fundraiser and fun day ….

·         Sunday, March 23rd in Toms River at Playdrome Bowling
