HAMILTON (Mercer) — A 31-year-old township man who used his email to share child porn that he allegedly claimed he had created has pleaded guilty.

Christopher Walsh, of this township's Yardville section, faces up to 20 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised released when he is sentenced on a federal count count of receiving and distributing child pornography.

Prosecutors say Walsh used his email to distribute 1,590 files depicting child sexual abuse between 2014 and last January.

After his arrest last March, New Jersey 101.5 quoted alleged email communications by Walsh in which he bragged about creating the images.

“Here’s one that I made,” he allegedly said about one clip. “This girl was one that I met on a school trip one day,” he said about another, adding that 9-year-old girl he knew “should be easy” to "play" with because she has Down syndrome.

Walsh was not charged with creating the images or with child abuse.

Walsh worked for Somerville-based Kensington Bus Company.

Federal prosecutors do not release arrest booking photos of defendants.
