What’s more American than ‘American Idol?’ How about the president, the leader of the free world? ‘Idol’ producer Nigel Lythgoe is actually asking our commander-in-chief if he wants to come on the show during the live episodes to perform Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together.’ Obama performed an impromptu version of the song at a fundraiser at the Apollo Theater, causing Green’s music to spike in sales.
