It is always nice to see New Jersey public schools highlighted as part of the "best" in the Nation. The latest list, in a recent Patch article, of the top public schools in America came from Niche and it's out this week.

The weather has cooled off a bit and we're getting the fall vibes. Yes, it is time for fall day-tripping and we found the perfect spot.

I came across a 2021 list of the best and worst schools in the nation. How do you feel about the education you got growing up here in Jersey? Were you more or less prepared for the world than people you know from other states? It's funny, I think we assume that we have a stellar school system here in the northeast but do we really? I have the full list ranked in order below from worst to best. Did New Jersey break the top ten?

I woke up to my 16 year old daughter, Bella, say "Mom, something is wrong with me, I have hives all over my body." I thought surely she is exaggerating, she's a teenager, drama is what they do. So, I wiped the sleep out of my eyes to see that she is actually underestimating the situation. You think you can do it don't you? Admit it...you thought just for a second, "my balance is pretty good" or "I bet I could go a bit faster than that guy and make it" NO, you can't and the reason is science. Don't be mad, I have to tell you like it is because friends save each other from stupid S*!t.

Lots of us got our older kids vaccinated for COVID before going back to school and there is some comfort in that. Now my concern is focused on my 11 year old little one. She is not eligible for the vaccine and it's time to go back to school for the first time in a year and a half. All we have are masks to protect our little ones against the variant and I just realized I have no idea what I'm doing.
