Last month, the Dome got approval for a 20-year lease and would be joining a lot of cool local businesses like Cape May Brewing and a few Tech Businesses that are attracting a lot of people to the area.

Closures have been running rampant near the Jersey Shore for the past few weeks. It was announced that Shooters was closing in Ocean County, after ten solid years in business. More on the Shooters closing here. We also learned that Champs Sports is closing at the Ocean County Mall.

You may remember the Ice Bowl of 1967, when the Packers played to Cowboys in temperatures as low as -13 degrees, with windchills that made it feel like -48. Joe Mason, of the APP, reports that the Giants also played one of the coldest games in NFL history.

Details at this point are pretty shaky, but NJ.com reports that there are plans for Dave And Busters to revamp the Sears in the Newport Centre to be the next location for their restaurant and arcade.

The new full-service restaurant will not only feature tasty seafood, but it appears as though they'll also have breakfast sandwiches, hoagies, and of course lots of seafood.

If you could have anything come to Toms River, what would you want to see? This is a pretty busy area, so I'd like to think whatever were to take over the vacant spots would do pretty well.

Last year, the island was like a giant street party in the hours leading up to the Plunge with vendors, a Wawa Food Truck, and of course, some liquid courage being passed around.

There's nothing quite like admiring the beauty of a classically restored Steam Engine or riding in a passenger car that's been fully refurbished to take you back to the early 1900s when it was first made.

The Pony is getting ready to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, and to celebrate they've invited the legendary Jersey band Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes to help celebrate.
