All things being equal the championship game of a boys basketball tournament usually garners considerably more interest and attendance than the girls game which is why the Shore Conference Tournament has the ladies play first as part of their title game doubleheader at Monmouth University.

A Difference in Quality

It is interesting, at least to me that as the quality of top-level girls basketball has grown in the Shore Conference the boys’ game has taken a noticeable drop.
