Casino Pier’s Roller Coaster Contest in Seaside Heights–Schools and Kids You Can Get Involved
With the 6 month anniversary of Super Storm Sandy battering the Jersey Shore coming up on Monday and creating such sadness along the shore line and inland -- people are still displaced--Casino Pier will be conducting a "Show Us Your Coaster Contest" and your kids can be a part of a little history here at the shore.
Their beloved Jet Star roller coaster was lost in Super Storm Sandy and Casino Pier needs your help. They are encouraging schools to create and submit roller coaster model drawings crafted by students in 2 grade categories, Grades K - 4 and Grades 5 - 8.
Students can submit hand drawn or computer produced. Drawings need to be realistic and have the ability to be reproduced as an actual ride. Students must describe the ride--how high, how fast, location and how many twists, turns, loops and drops, coaster theme, and the very important coaster name.
Roller Coasters will be judged based on creativity and construction.
First, second and third place prizes will be awarded:
1. Most Creative Design
2. Most Unique Name
3. Best Construction
