The 30-mile pursuit began around 1:15 p.m. in the inner lanes north of Exit 8A in Jamesburg when Zachary Brown, 24, of Haddonfield refused to stop for a traffic violation and continued southbound, according to State Police spokesman Lawrence Peele

Brown moved to the outer lanes during the pursuit before overturning as he exited at Exit 5 in Mount Holly, Peele said.

The inner and outer lanes merge at Exit 6.

Peele said the lone occupant of the car being pursued was in custody and was flown to Cooper Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.  The identity of the driver was not disclosed by Peele, who said charges are pending.

The ramp at Exit 5 was blocked, creating a multi-mile southbound delay.

Peele did not know the speed reached during the pursuit or how many officers were involved.

6 ABC Action News's view of the crash scene from a helicopter showed the car was heavily damaged. The northbound exit ramp was unaffected.

This is a breaking story. Check back for additional details.
