Car Flips in Toms River, Drivers Escape Injury

Thomas Schulte and Erin Simonelli of Toms River were luckily spared of injuries this morning in a crash that sent one car sprawling on its side.

According to Toms River Police, Simonelli was heading West on Bay Avenue when Schulte, heading East on Bay Avenue, turned left in front of her along Indian Hill Road.

Unable to stop, Simonelli smashed into the passenger side of Schulte's car, overturning his Nissan.

The investigation by Traffic Safety Officer Terry Warren is still under review.
