Police Chief Mike Mastronardy has issued no identities but says that the driver was alone in the car and needed extrication by members of township volunteer Fire Companies 1 and 2.

Mastronardy says the car was headed southbound on Old Freehold when it drifted near Chestnut Street, hit the curb, slammed the mailbox and turned over. No pedestrians were reported to be injured.
