Can You Explain These Odd Sights In Manchester?
As I was heading out in Ocean County yesterday, I noticed something that caught my attention when I turned off of Route 70 and on to Ridgeway Road. To the point that I had to stop and take a picture.
I thought I saw a Smurf.
It was a fire hydrant painted a color that I can best describe as "Smurf blue" with a white cap.
What got even funnier was that this wasn't just one fire hydrant that someone decided to pull prank on - dozens of hydrants throughout the area were the same. Like Smurf sentinels watching over the neighborhoods.
So this is where you come in - I know that nobody knows Ocean County like WOBM fans do. So I know there has to be someone out there who knows the story behind the Smurf fire hydrants!
