Camp Osborn Fundraiser This Weekend

During the October 29 superstorm, a community of bungalows at the southern end of Brick Township's barrier island burned to the ground. An event this Saturday aims to help those who lived in the dozens of Camp Osborn homes that were destroyed.

"A Night of Laughter," hosted by comedian Jeff Norris and starring Joe Piscopo, opens its doors at 6:00 p.m. at Brick Township High School. The event will also feature music entertainment.

Tickets are $35.00 (general admission) and they can be reserved by calling 732-262-2500, extension 2029 or 2031.

Likely fueled by natural gas leaks, the fire was uncontrollable due to Sandy's fierce winds. At the height of the storm, emergency officials could not access the fire site.
