Look at that photo above.

It was taken with the WOBM drone about 300 feet above historic Camp Evans, looking northeast toward the beaches of Belmar.

Peaceful, right?

But Camp Evans becomes anything but peaceful starting this weekend and running through the weekend before Halloween when it becomes The Base of Terror!

Camp Evans is one heck of an interesting place, with a history that goes back to the earliest days of electronic communications all the way up to the development of the atomic bomb, and much more that still remains top secret to this day.

And now every fall, the volunteers who tirelessly work year-round to keep the history of Camp Evans alive, turn the sprawling complex into one of the premiere haunted attractions at the Shore.

The Camp Evans Base of Terror opens this Friday, September 29th, and runs Fridays and Saturdays through October 28th from 7pm - 11pm.
