Burnham Sentencing Date Postponed

The sentencing date of former Brookdale Community College President Peter Burnham is postponed until November 30th, according to the Asbury Park Press.

68-year-old Peter Burham of Colts Neck was scheduled to learn his fate on Friday on theft by deception and official misconduct charges.

Burnham confessed to using his college credit card for personal use and depositing a $20,000 student loan for his son into a personal bank account. As part of his plea deal, Burnham must repay $24,000 to Brookdale and reimburse the student loan

He's expected to be sentenced to five years in prison and be ordered to pay a $44,000 restitution.
