Burglar stole jewelry, then attacked neighbor, police say

Burlington Township police make an arrest of a man who allegedly broke into a Prospect Avenue home, stole several pieces of jewelry and then attacked a neighbor when fleeing the scene Wednesday.

Mark Sloan, 41, of Camden is charged with burglary, robbery, theft and criminal mischief.

Police responded to the residence around 12:45 pm Wednesday and began their investigation.

They had enough information to send out an alert to neighboring departments in pursuit of Sloan.

He was found by police in Edgewater Park Township where he was placed in handcuffs.

The stole goods were recovered from the vehicle he was in.

Sloan was brought to the Burlington Township Police Department where he was processed for the charges and then lodged in the Burlington County Jail.
