Dr. Jeffrey L. Carson, chief of the divison of General Internal Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, Buono's doctor for the past 20 years says the 60-year-old state senator runs regularly, is physically fit and that her only medications are vitamins and aspirin. She had her gallbladder removed and weighs 125 pounds. She has never smoked cigarettes.

He last saw Buono in February when she had a car accident but was not seriously injured. Her blood pressure at the time was 112/70, her pulse 78 and her weight was 124.5 pounds.

Buono's father died of a heart attack at age 51; her mother had a stroke at age 75 and died from kidney cancer at age 88.

The candidate was last examined in late-February. Buono and Gov. Chris Christie agreed during the last week's gubernatorial debate to release medical reports showing they are fit for office.

Christie's office has not responded to emailed requests for the records.

The governor, who may run for president in 2016, says he is more than halfway to his dieting goal after having weight-loss surgery.
