Brick Township teen accuses diner owner of inappropriate contact
A Brick Township diner owner who allegedly became too personal with a teenage job applicant is charged with criminal sexual contact, and police are wondering if it is an isolated instance.
The fourth-degree count was filed Tuesday against Benjamin Kuklo, 52, based on the alleged victim's statements to police following her job interview at Bennie's Diner on Mantoloking Road.
According to police, the 16-year-old said that Kuklo touched her inappropriately during their discussion. He posted $2,500 full bail and was released after processing.
Authorities ask anyone aware of similar inappropriate encounters with Kuklo, or anyone at Bennie's Diner, to speak with Detective Schinder, 732-262-1120.
Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
