Jason M. Pascale, 34, of Lakewood, faces several counts in connection with the February 28 incident at a home on Stephan Road, and several other alleged offenses.

Brick police say they got help from Point Pleasant Beach and Lakewood officers in addition to numerous calls from civilians.

Pascale is charged with robbery, burglary, and theft of moveable property. Earlier allegations of assault by police do not appear in the new list of charges. Police had said that the victim was stabbed in the leg.

Pascale was also charged with violation of probation in the Monmouth County court jurisdiction, and warrants for failure to appear in court issued by Monmouth County and Brick Municipal courts.

Additional charges might be added once the case has been reviewed by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, authorities said.

He was placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River to await processing, with bail set at $50,000. Pascale was given no option for release on payment of 10 percent, police said.
