Police say Jason McNab, 28, faces a count of receiving stolen property and is currently free on a summons.

Investigators were alerted around 9 AM, say police, of someone trying to take aluminum and other metal components from external cooling units. Police said that they found five dismantled ones behind the shopping center during the weekend.

Responding officers tracked McNab based on a license plate description given to them at the center. Information that surfaced during their interview with McNab led to the charges.

The episode is still under investigation and police are seeking more witness accounts and details. Reach Brick Police Detective Daniel Waleski can be reached at 732-262-1170.
