Assistant Superintendent Patricia Lorusso says they're hoping to supply parents with tools to help the 21st Century Learner. "We have to keep up with the current trends in education. In addition to, we have to keep up with the changes in literacy and mathematics that we've made as a district in moving toward Common Core Standards".

Parent University takes place on March 14th at the Veterans Memorial Elementary School from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Larusso says registration is required by March 5th. Log-on to brickschools.org and visit the Headlines and/or the Community sections to "Register for Parent University." You can also contact the Office of Community Relations at 732-785-3000 Ext 1070.

Lorusso says the event is free and even free childcare will be provided at the event.
