NJ.com reports that information uploaded by about 71 of the amusement center's roughly 500 workers became vulnerable on July 2 when hackers with a Russian IP address decoded protective encryption and infiltrated the site. The employees are said to be mostly young, seasonal workers.

Exposed documents reportedly include government-issued identification such as social security cards, parental consent sheets, tax forms, birth certificates, passports, student i-d, driving licenses and immigrant work eligibility forms.

A spokesperson for the waterpark told New Jersey Advance Media that the gap has been closed, that impacted workers are being offered fraud protection, and that customer and vendor information was not compromised.

A call to spokesperson Maria Mastoris from WOBM News went to voicemail this afternoon.
