Sources are confirming that "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini has died.

A number of media outlets, including TMZ and Deadline.com are reporting that the actor, who will forever be associated with The Garden State, was in Italy for the Taormina Film Festival and has apparently suffered a heart attack.

Since the story broke shortly before 8 this evening, both HBO sources and "Sopranos" creator David Chase have confirmed the New Jersey native's death

Gandolfini was 51 years old.
