Breaking: Crash shutters Route 70 in Manchester

A serious car collision shuts down a critical portion of Route 70 in Manchester in the middle of the Monday afternoon rush hour.

Police reopened the highway between County Route 539 and Roosevelt City Road at around 6:50 PM, after shutting down both sides at about 5:13 PM.

The crash took place near the Route 37 circle, police said. Details regarding the number of vehicles, occupants, and injuries have yet to be disclosed. We will post the information in a separate brief as soon as they become available.
