His father Anzor says his son "doesn't understand what has happened to him" and believes "there is no justice" for Dzhokhar according to interpretation of their conversation.

In audio of phone conversations between Dzhokhar and his parents played by London's Channel 4 News, he tells his parents not to worry about him. "I do have money," Zubeidat Tsarnaeva said her son told her "Somebody opened an account for me. People send me money here. I do have lots of money."

His mother Zubeidat Tsarnaeva is visibly upset as she listens to the conversation. "I felt like he would scream, ‘What's going on?' He would ask the world ‘What's going on?'" said Zubeidat Tsarnaeva. "Instead, he was just calming me down" and described his situation as "good."  She told her son that he is loved by both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

Anzor and Zubeidat Tsarnaeva are in Russia and have been allowed one phone call with their son according to Channel 4 News. His parents still do not believe he is responsible for the bombing which killed 2 and critically injured hundreds.

They say their son has claimed his innocence in the conversation and believe it was all a set up. "I know my kids did not do it," said Zubeidat. They have set up a website in his defense and say that many in their homeland of Chechnya, having a complete distrust of authority, believe the same thing.

The parents believe his older brother Anzor Tsarnaev coerced him into the bombing plan.

Dzhokhar is being held in a medical jail in Ayer, Massachusetts west of Boston as he recovers from injuries sustained during his capture by law enforcement following a daylong manhunt in April.
