Bon Jovi was slated to take China by storm this month. Ticket sales were moving at a brisk pace, and then, the ticket sales stopped with no explanation.

They were scheduled to play Shanghai and Beijing next week, which would have been their first shows on the Chinese mainland. After swift ticket sales, the website selling the tickets put them on a "temporary hold", and then stopped selling tickets all together.

The weird part is, there hasn't been an official explanation as to why the kibosh has been put on the shows, so speculation is running rampant.

Some speculate that China's Ministry of Culture called off the concerts after finding out about the band using a photo of The Dalai Lama on stage years ago (which is a bit of a sore subject for the Chinese government).

At the moment, there hasn't been an official explanation of whether the shows are even officially cancelled or not, but as of right now, tickets for the shows can't be bought.
