Boil Advisory Lifted in Toms River Neighborhood
The boil-water advisory for home and business owners in a section of Toms River after a main ruptured Wednesday morning is over.
Businesses in The Commons complex and homes on four nearby streets near Route 37, just west of the Parkway, were affected.
According to the United Water Toms River, depressurization was necessary to complete repairs.
The company recommends draining and cleaning water filters and ice makers, draining and refilling water heaters set at temperatures below 113 degrees, running softener or cartridge filters through regeneration cycles, and draining and refilling water towers in high buildings.
