A father and daughter who own a charter fishing and river cruising company in Brielle, learn fates on federal tax evasion charges. 77-year-old William Bogan was sentenced to six months home confinement and electronic monitoring. His daughter 47-year-old Sharon Bogan, gets two years probation for failing to report and pay taxes on a large portion of money they took in running the Bogan's Deep Sea Fishing Center.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Bogan Sr. and Sharon Bogan owned and operated a number of charter fishing and river cruising boats in Brielle and Point Pleasant, N.J. They say from 2004 through 2009, the Bogans kept for their personal use a large portion of the business receipts received by their charter fishing and river cruising boats. Officials say in 2006 alone, Bogan Sr. failed to report more than $300,000 in income.

In addition to the prison term, Bogan Sr. was sentenced to two years of supervised release and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
