Body discovered near NJ river during search for missing man
Police recovered a body in a grassy area alongside the Tuckahoe River while searching for a missing person who jumped into the river and never resurfaced Thursday.
NJ State Police Sgt. Jeff Flynn told the Press of Atlantic City that the body was found around 3 p.m. and will not be identified Saturday. The body was recovered as crews continued the search for a man who jumped off a train bridge into the river in Upper Township just after 4 p.m. Thursday, the article states, identifying the man as an Egg Harbor Township resident.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, Flynn said state police used a sonar-equipped boat and dive teams as well as police dogs to search the river.
