Blood Test Negative On Freeholder Kelly In Fatal Accident
Blood tests done on Ocean County Freeholder Jack Kelly following a fatal accident in Eagleswood have come back negative.
The State Police say a final report on the May 18th crash that claimed the life of 24-year-old William Kolb is not finished yet. No charges have been filed.
Kelly was attempting to turn into the West Creek Deli parking lot from the northbound side when the two vehicles collided. Kolb was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. Kelly did not suffer any injuries in the accident.
Kelly, a father of five, has been a member of the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders since 1993.
According to the Freeholder website he is the county’s director of Law and Public Safety. In that role, he oversaw the expansion of the Ocean County Police Academy.
