One of the things that I noticed on my last vacation to Vancouver was the automated bike rental stations throughout the city. You literally couldn't go more than a few blocks before seeing another row of bicycles hooked up and ready for rental.

Now, one of the biggest shore destinations has joined major cities around the world in offering their own bike sharing program.

Asbury Park just announced earlier this week that they've teamed up with the company Zagster to deploy a bike share program across the city.

While beach cruiser rentals have been a classic shore activity for a long time, the new program in Asbury takes it to the next level, allowing you to do it all automatically from an app on your smartphone.

It's a pretty cool way to bring the fun of renting a beach bike into the latest tech world.
