Wow! What a morning in Point Pleasant Beach at Martells/Jenkinsons. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County set out to break the world record for sandcastle building !

They needed to build over 1,000 castles in 60 minutes to break the record held by a group in the United Kingdom!

Thanks to all the sponsors and the people who came out to help! It wasnt easy building the castles either! There were requirements to make them official so it took time, talent, sweat and patience !

When all was done 1,068 Sandcastles stood on the beach in Point Pleasant and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County and all who helped….are now in the Guiness Book of World Records! Congrats to Sue Sedevic and her amazing staff and ALL the people who came out ! A true “Community” and we at WOBM are so proud to be a part of it!
