Berkeley Sweet Shop ReOpening In Seaside Heights

Berkeley Sweet Shop had been making fudge and saltwater taffy for boardwalk-goers in Seaside for decades. The shop suffered major damage during Superstorm Sandy in 2012, then further damage during the 2013 fire. In December 2014, owner Berent Hage decided to close the shop indefinitely.

With the improvements and rebuilding happening in Seaside, the shop has announced a return!

The shop had originally opened in Asbury Park in 1910, and moved to the Seaside boardwalk in 1948.
