A south Jersey congressman hired a law firm to help with an ethics probe he was facing just before he resigned earlier this year.

The payment was disclosed in a recent campaign finance filing.

When Andrews announced his resignation in February, he said it was not because of the investigation. He took a job at a law firm.

His campaign finance records show he used donor money for frequent trips to California, where his daughter had a fledgling career in the entertainment industry.
