Kayvon Tinnery, 23, faces counts of simple assault, burglary, and terroristic threats for the altercation that erupted on the night of July 24 on Sawmill Road, according to township police.

Officers responding at about 9:53 PM believe that the 24-year-old victim entered the house on Sawmill Road, and that Tinnery followed him inside, continued the attack and eventually left. The victim refused medical treatment for abrasions, police said.

Tinnery was placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, with bail set at a full $35,000.

Criminal charges are accusations. Defendants are considered innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
