46-year-old Robert Parliament of Bayville was charged with driving while intoxicated and had his pickup truck impounded under John's Law. Parliament was taken to police headquarters where he was processed and released, according to the Berkeley Patch.

Authorities say sections of Mill Creek Road were closed between Mill Creek Drive and Cape May Avenue. The utility pole was damaged and had to be replaced.

The Bayville volunteer fire company, Bayville First Aid Squad and the Ocean Gate Police Department also responded.
