I couldn't believe my eyes. The flyer said Bruce Springsteen would be playing Seaside Heights and tickets would cost only $4.50! That old concert poster, currently on display at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia is one of more than 150 artifacts that Bruce fans will be interested to see.
Did you hear that noise this morning? It was the sound of everyone in Ocean County groaning as they realized they did not win the MegaMillions jackpot and therefore had to wake up and go to work as usual.
So, it’s Monday. Your first day back at work. Are you feeling
recharged and refreshed from a relaxing weekend or do you need a nap? If you’re exhausted from a weekend full of housework, gardening, errands, and running the kids from place to place, read on. I want to share an “a-ha” moment with you.
Remember how steamed I was that my favorite American Idol singer, Reed Grimm, didn’t make it into the finals? Remember how I wrote that his unfair and premature (in my opinion) departure actually put me in a
bad mood? Well my frown has turned upside down and now I’m smiling. Why? Because I got an e-mail from Reed’s mother!
This weekend we drove to Doylestown, PA and entered a museum unlike any I've ever seen before: The Mercer Museum. Not only is the building majestic, but the collection of over 30,000 items is interesting and displayed in a very intriguing way.
Hearing about the passing of actor Robert Hegyes has me remembering all the nights he made me laugh on "Welcome Back Kotter." The New Jersey actor died of an apparent heart attack at age 60. Remember how he'd have crazy excuses for not finishing his homework? And how he'd forge notes that would be signed "Epstein's Mother"?
I spent part of my vacation pondering the year ahead. What do I want it to look like? What positive changes can I make? Have you asked yourself those questions as well? The answers usually help us make New Years Resolutions so here, in writing, is one of mine. I’m going try to be more organized, more often.
