A Georgia man living in Long Island, NY gets more than a decade in federal prison for crossing state lines to have sex with a child and her underage babysitter in Monmouth County. 23-year-old Richard Simone learned his fate Monday, October 6th after confessing to arranging the tryst with a man he believed was the child's father last year but was instead a Homeland Security Department Special Agent.Simone also allegedly sent nine images of child pornography to the special agent.

Simone plead guilty to one count of traveling across state lines for the purpose of engaging in sexual conduct with a minor.

He was originally charged with traveling with the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor which carries a maximum potential penalty of 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The charge of distribution of child pornography carries a mandatory minimum of five years, a maximum penalty of 20 years and a $250,000 fine.
