Attempted Luring in Berkeley Township

Authorities are looking for a man who allegedly tried luring a 15-year-old girl into his car Thursday in Berkeley Township as she walked home from her grandfather's house.

Police told the Asbury Park Press the girl was on Mill Creek Road in the Bayville section around 7:30 pm when she said the suspect pulled along side her and told her to get in. The girl reportedly turned around and walked back to her grandfather's home. Authorities said the girl's grandfather witnessed the incident and saw the car drive way.

The driver never got out of the car and tried to pursue the girl, Police Chief Karin DiMichele said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20's who was driving a small, white four-door car.
