A driver approached a ten-year-old boy Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. as he walked near Somerset Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard, according to The Lakewood Scoop. The child ran away.

The LCSW received a report about the incident several hours later, but it's unclear if the child's parent didn't know about right away. Regardless, the LCSW advises reporting such incidents immediately.

The LCSW also is encouraging parents to teach their children to stay away from strangers and to try to get as much information about the vehicle, including the color, make and model.
