Attempted Child Abduction in Monmouth Beach

Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly tried grabbing a boy through a car window Saturday night at the private Monmouth Beach Tennis Club.

It happened around 6:30 pm as two boys, 8 and 10, were walking in the beach club, according to the Asbury Park Press. The boy was able to pull his arm away.

The driver is described as a white male in his 40's, wearing a navy blue Polo style shirt and dark glasses. He was driving a yellow or gold vehicle, possible a Volvo wagon, with New Jersey plates.
