Four Atlantic County drug suspects who allegedly saw Ocean County as a prime spot for business face a battery of charges filed by county investigators.

Tariq Johnson, 25, of Atlantic City; Lionel Dabney, 29, of Pleasantville; and Robert Gunter, 33, and Rachel Brolewicz, 22, of Egg Harbor Township, were apprehended Wednesday evening in Barnegat, according to information from the office of County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

It's the second announcement of multiple drug arrests in as many days. A Bayville man arrested in the previous sweep also faces weapons and assault charges, accused of swinging an aluminum bat at a detective's approaching car.

Each is charged with four total counts of possession, and possession with intent to distribute, heroin and cocaine. All were placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River. Bail for Johnson, Dabney and Gunter was set at $60,000. Brolewicz's bail was set at $35,000. None has an option for release on payment of 10 percent.

In what investigators describe as a short-term probe, members of the Prosecutor's Special Operations Group, Southern Enforcement Unit, along with the Barnegat narcotics unit, Lacey Township detectives and Ocean Township police, identified a gold, 2000 Nissan Altima as a conveyance for heroin and cocaine in southern Ocean County.

Detectives eyed the car in the Wawa lot on West Bay Avenue in Barnegat Wednesday, kept surveillance, and subsequently conducted a traffic stop. A search yielded 300 dosesof heroin and about 10 grams of cocaine, authorities said.

The Altima was impounded for possible forfeiture proceedings.

The Prosecutor's Office issues a reminder that criminal charges are accusations, and that defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
