Asbury Park Website Hacked

Asbury Park's muncipal web site remains shut down after it was hacked over the weekend.

The site was replaced by an image that made reference to a group of Turkish hackers who target weak Web page codes and insert their own images on the page.

As of Monday morning the site is still down.

According to the Asbury Park Press the city is working with the web site design company to restore it. The City Council recently discussed plans to have a new company redesign it.Mayor Myra Campbell told the newspaper she would like a more "user friendly site" that would offer access to forms and code books.
