Arrest Made in Lakewood Shooting Wednesday

Authorities arrested a Neptune City man Thursday Night in connection with Wednesday afternoon's shooting in Lakewood. 

The U-S Marshal's Service helped take 24-year-old Troy Dawson into custody shortly before 9 p.m, in Asbury Park, according to Lakewood Police Detective, Sgt. Greg Staffordsmith. No other details about the arrest were immediately know.

Dawson is charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses for allegedly shooting a 22-year-old Lakewood man on Williamsburg Lane around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday at the Coventry Square Condominium Complex.

The victim suffered multiple bullet wounds, but was listed in stable condition Wednesday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

Dawson was being held on $500,000 cash-only bail Sgt. Staffordsmith said.
