Even though it feels like the middle of June, as we all know it is the middle of October.

It's right about now that we should be seeing the annual splash of color across Ocean County.

As we told you a month ago, the forecast for fall foliage colors actually isn't great for this year.

A number of factors are expected to keep the colors fairly muted this year. From a relatively dry summer to the wildly fluctuating temperatures, we probably won't be seeing the vivid yellow, orange, and red that we normally do.

And I'm noticing it in my neighborhood already. I'll see an occasional fiery orange tree in a large group of barely yellowing ones.
