Another New QuickChek Is Coming To Ocean County

It wasn't all that long ago that we were talking about the brand new QuickChek in Beachwood. Now, we're heading a few exits up the Garden State Parkway to tell you about another one that will be arriving in Ocean County.

The latest township to get a new QuickChek convenience store and gas station will be Brick.

If you travel Route 70 past Brick Blvd much, you've probably seen the sign at the former site of Crown Bank, declaring it as the future home of the convenience and gas chain.

This follows a number of new Ocean County QuickChek locations within the last number of months, including the previously mentioned Beachwood, and the one on New Hampshire Ave in Lakewood, right across the street from FirstEnergy Park.

I have mixed feelings about the upcoming Brick location.

On one hand, it's a convenient place for a gas station and convenience store, with the nearest gas stations being further West on Route 70 and further South on Brick Blvd.

On the other hand though, this is an incredibly heavily traveled area, with two of the major arteries through Brick coming together right there, which could add to the already congested intersection.

But, I'm sure they've studied these aspects and have decided that the benefits will outweigh the drawbacks.

As of right now, it's just a big mound of dirt, so it will be a while until the ribbon cutting, but we'll keep you in the loop as to when you can expect the opening!
