A fisherman spotted the 2 1/2-foot long alligator in Maple Lake Campground Tuesday.

Animal Control officers used baited hooks to capture it. News 12 reported it was turned over to a Fish and Game employee.

The alligator captured two months ago was turned over to a licensed exotic reptile handler.

Officials believe both alligators were pets that got too big and were released into the lake by their owner.
