An Arrest is Made in the Murder of a Neptune Man
Monmouth County authorities have arrested an Asbury Park woman in the stabbing death of a Neptune man early Sunday.
36-year-old Charmaine Daniels is facing charges of first degree murder and third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in the stabbing death of 24-year-old Brandon Brown.
Brown was pronounced dead at 4:39 am at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune about 40 minutes after police found his body lying on Church Street in Asbury, near Daniel’s home.
Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Charles Webster tells the Asbury Park Press the two knew each other, but the nature of their relationship is unclear. The motive is under investigation.
Daniels was being held at the Monmouth County Jail on $765,000 bail.
