Back in February of this year (remember February 2020? It feels like a lifetime ago) I told you about the documentary "Class Action Park" when we got our first look at the teaser trailer about what was possibly the world's most notorious place for summer fun.

And, it was right here in New Jersey.

Of course, Vernon's Action Park became legendary for the, well, if we're being totally honest, for the sheer danger of the place.

As I mentioned when I first wrote about the film, the summer camp that I went to as a kid took field trips to Action Park every summer, and I can promise you that the stories that you've heard are absolutely true.

Yes, even the stories of the loop-de-loop water slide that loomed large right next to the parking lot as busloads of kids stared slack-jawed at the physically impossible looking ride (turns out, it was, in fact, nearly physically impossible).

In case you missed it the first time around, here's the trailer for the documentary:

Well, it turns out that the public's appetite for all things Action Park is still as voracious as ever, and HBO picked the flick up for its new streaming platform, HBO Max.

According to the official Facebook page for Class Action Park, a Wednesday announcement dropped the news that the documentary will stream on HBO Max in August:

Personally, I can't wait to check it out. For better or worse, Action Park was about as Jersey as you can get when it comes to this being a unique state to grow up in!
