The boys were traveling with their father, Keith Belajonas, who is accused of killing his wife early Thursday morning in Drexel Hill according to ABC 7.

Belajonas was found dead a short time after the boys were found on Staten Island with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound according to Superintendent Michael Chitwood of the Upper Darby, Pa. police.

Pennsylvania State Police issued the alert early Thursday morning in the belief Belajonas was headed for for the New York City area with their two children, Robert and Christopher.

Police came to the home of Christina Belajonas and found her dead from a shot to the head and multiple stab wounds. A neighbor reported seeing Keith leave with the boys.

Chitwood said police were investigating whether Keith Belajonas was responsible for a posting on a social media site about a dispute with the victim.

"Had an argument with her. She was cheating on me. I won," the Facebook posting said, according to Chitwood.
